The “dark forces” act through women and exploit their beauty. A woman’s beauty is supposed to inspire in Man the spirit of the poet, the artist, and the creator. But to do that, women themselves must be pure. If there is not sufficient purity, they start trying to attract men by fleshy charms. The men are deceived and the women must suffer their whole lives on account of this deception. (pp 63)
