The Anastasia books have been described as many things. John Woodsworth, the translator of the English books has said they are like “Star Trek meets the Bible”. (pp viii)

Mr. Woodsworth has also said that in fact he has corroborated much of the information found in the books from independent sources – all of which turned out to be genuine. (pp viii)

The books are like an incredible dissertation on the most important ideas related to life itself and our connection with everything. Once I had read through book five (‘Who Are We?’) I had hardly anymore questions about life. It seemed as if in a few short weeks of reading the first five books I had found answers to almost all of the questions about life that I ever had. However, after reading the first five books (and especially books four and five) there were an entire universe of completely new questions that opened up in my mind.

There is a group in Moscow that is devoted to studying the ‘Anastasia phenomenon’ and they say that nowhere in the history of the world, has there ever been a person or figure capable of creating such massive change in such a short period of time. (pp 212)

According to Leonid Sharashkin, the editor of the Anastasia books, millions of people have been moved by her words, many thousands have planted trees, written poetry and songs, or created works of art – all inspired by the book. There are readers clubs and conferences all around the world now. Russia has seen the birth of a powerful eco-village movement, inspiring thousands of people to leave their corporate jobs and move to one of the settlements made up of many diverse people. Russian emigrants have been flocking back to their homeland to re-establish their domains. (pp 231)
